Reason for deciding to undergo surgery
I had been thinking about facial contouring surgery for about two years, so I finally thought, “If I’m going to keep worrying about it, I might as well just do it!”
Why I chose EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
I always thought my face looked angular and wanted to smooth out the overall facial lines.
Whenever someone else took photos of me, my face looked sharp and boxy and that became a big complex for me.
I also knew someone around me who had surgery at EU, and honestly, everyone who came out looking pretty seemed to have had their surgery here. They looked absolutely beautiful, like celebrities.
That gave me the confidence that I’d get great results too, so I decided to go with EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Day 1
On the day of the surgery, the pain was so intense that I couldn’t even tell how time was passing. I honestly started to regret getting the surgery, that is how much it hurt.
I’ve heard that some people don’t feel much pain after surgery, but in my case, I don’t think I’ve ever had a surgery where I didn't feel pain afterward
Day 2
As time went on, I could really feel the swelling in my face increasing. The pain inside my mouth was still there, so I asked for more painkillers.
Breathing was difficult, and I kept calling the nurses, probably to the point of bothering them, but they were always there for me. I’m really grateful for the care I received during my hospital stay.
Day 3
Today was discharge day, but my face swelled up like crazy. My boyfriend came to pick me up, and honestly, I was so embarrassed.
My face still hurt, and the swelling just kept getting worse, which made everything more uncomfortable.
Still, I was happy to finally be going home.
Day 4
I think the swelling in my face has reached its peak.
It feels like my face is about to burst. More than the difficulty breathing, it’s the swelling that’s driving me crazy.
I just really hope it goes down soon.
Day 5
My face is still quite swollen, but I’m starting to breathe more comfortably, and the swelling inside my mouth seems to have gone down a bit.
When I wake up in the morning, my throat doesn’t hurt as much, and now I can swallow soft foods smoothly without needing a syringe.
Day 6
I can finally see the swelling starting to go down!!!!
Thank goodness, now I can breathe without any trouble, I’m eating soft foods well, and taking my medication without issues.
I really hope the swelling keeps going down quickly!
Day 7
Today I had my wound cleaning and got the stitches from my cheekbone area removed.
My face looks cleaner now, which makes me feel good, and it seems like the swelling has gone down even more compared to yesterday.
Week 2
Today, my stitches were removed. After getting the stitches out, my mouth feels much lighter and more comfortable.
They also said I can remove the wafer now, which makes me really happy. The swelling is going down more and more each day!
Week 3
The swelling isn’t very noticeable anymore, but I can feel it gradually going down.
Eating has become much easier, and my mouth feels a lot more comfortable. I’m really looking forward to reaching one month so I can start chewing food properly!
1 Month
Definitely, after a month has passed, time feels like it’s flying by. Since entering the one-month mark, the swelling in my cheeks has become more noticeable… ㅠ
Thankfully, it’s gone down a lot, and I really hope the remaining swelling disappears soon! Eating is getting better day by day.
2 Months
I can’t believe it’s already been two months..! Definitely, after around 40 days, time seems to fly by so fast.
Now, except for very hard or tough meats, I can eat pretty much everything without any problems. The swelling is still there a bit, but it’s improving day by day!
3 Months
There’s still some slight swelling left, but compared to a month ago, it’s gone down a lot.
I really hope the remaining swelling disappears soon... Lately, I’ve been eating so well that I’m actually gaining weight ㅠㅠ
4 Months
I’ve reached the 4-month mark! There’s still some slight swelling left ㅜㅜ People around me say it’s cute and hope it doesn’t go away.
But honestly, I really want all the remaining swelling to disappearㅠㅠㅠ There’s no discomfort in daily life or eating anymore ㅎㅎ
Since my face shape looks nicer now, it’s fun to try out different styles and looks.
5 Months
It’s already been 5 months ㅎㅎ I can see the swelling gradually going down month by month~
There’s still a bit of swelling left, so I’m really looking forward to how things will be at the one year mark~
Eating isn’t a problem at all now, and since my face shape looks prettier, tied-up hairstyles really suit me which I love~
6 Months
Lately, I’ve been living so well that I almost forget I had double jaw surgery.
People even tell me recently that the swelling is still going down day by day. I’m really looking forward to how slim and refined my face will look at the one year mark ㅎㅎ
7 Months
The swelling has definitely gone down a lot!!!
Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot that my face looks smaller and that I’ve lost weight ㅎㅎ!!
8 Months
Even these days, the swelling in my face keeps going down ㅎ
I was worried it wouldn’t go away, but now at 8 months, my face has become much slimmer ㅎㅎ
9 Months
The swelling has gone down even more than at 8 months!!!!!!!!!!
I’m really excited to see how much more beautiful my facial lines will become ㅎㅎ I recently had my wisdom teeth removed, and it went smoothly without any problems!
10 Months
Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot that my face looks smaller and somehow prettier. People keep asking me, “What did you do?”!!
Even when I had swelling right after surgery, I got compliments, but now at 10 months, the swelling has gone down even more, so my face looks even better :)
11 Months
It’s 11 months now~~ almost one year ㅎㅎ
Lately, my friends keep saying my face looks like it’s still slimming down and getting more refined~~ I’m so happy I went through with the surgery!
12 Months (1 Year)
A year has passed, and I think all the swelling is finally gone!!
I’m living my daily life comfortably without any issues, and people around me keep saying my face looks smaller and prettier, which makes me really happy.
Now that it’s been a year, I plan to maintain the results with treatments like lifting lasers and lymphatic massages :)
