Jaw surgery with IVRO or SSRO?

Some people might wonder that is my case is for IVRO or SSRO?
Which surgery will bring many benefits for my case?
You can find the difference between IVRO or SSRO.

Lower jaw surgery is a procedure that cuts, setbacks, and fixes the lower jaw in a new position to treat mandibular prognathism. There are two common surgical methods in treating mandibular prognathism. Those are ‘sagittal split ramus osteotomy(SSRO) and ‘intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy(IVRO).

SSRO shortened healing periods with wider contact areas between the cut bones which leads to superior bone healing, and is also better on the aspect of esthetics.

SSRO  allows the surgeon the latitude of moving the mandible forward to correct a retrognathism or posteriorly to correct a prognathism while maintaining a condylar position. Often a genioplasty is performed with this procedure.

IVRO is a useful osteotomy for mandibular setback and rotational movements of the mandible. The correct placement of the osteotomy is critical to the preservation of proximal segment muscle attachments
