protrusion surgical method

protrusion– orthodontics
In case of a non-severe mouth the protrusion, only the orthodontic treatment is used to correct for the mouth
protrusion
In most cases, back teeth located
behind canine teeth are extracted, and the front teeth are pushed into this
space.
The treatment period takes up between
one and half to two years, and any misaligned teeth can also be treated
concurrently.
2. Mouth protrusion with exposed gum
- Anterior
Segmental Osteotomy (ASO)
Under this method, 4 back teeth (2
upper teeth and 2 lower teeth) located behind canine teeth are extracted, and
the protruded mouth is treated by pushing the protruded gum bone and
teeth into the extracted space surgically.
3. Lantern jaw with mouth protrusion
- Double jaw
surgery
In case of a protruded mouth that
accompanies malocclusion, double jaw surgery is needed.
In case of a long face or facial
asymmetry, a mouth protrusion surgery itself is insufficient as the gum will
continue to be exposed.
By The overall backward (and upward)
movement of the upper jaw, the issue of gum
bone exposure can be solved effectively at once by using this method.
